These short-term, home-based counseling services are geared for children and adolescents who are having significant
personal and social stresssors and cannot function in the community due to emotional, mental, or behavioral difficulties. Services
are intended to help ameloriate the behaviors that place children at risk for removal and placement outside the family home. Family
members are integral treatment partners with the assigned counselor and are provided support and counseling as it relates to
the needs of their child. Identified children and adolescents must participate in a formal assessment provided at their
local Community Services Board and meet specified criteria to be eligible for these services. A second evaluation is
provided by a Living Water Counseling Center intake clincian to identify treatment needs. Counseling is provided
for three months and treatment needs are re-evaluated to determine appropriate step-down services.
