Since 2014, Holly has been passionate about helping others along their journey towards freedom and healing. Her beginning steps in the counseling field included conducting play therapy sessions and overcoming social anxiety groups, at an elementary school. Holly also has experience in the outpatient setting working with those experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma histories and attachment related issues. In addition, she has worked with several couples and families to strengthen their relationships and increase connection with one another.
In her free time, Holly enjoys working out, spending time with friends and family and engaging in nearly any creative activity. Growing up near the beach instilled a life-long love for the waves and sand and she hopes to call the coast home again one day.
As a resident in counseling working towards licensure, Holly would love to continue helping children, adolescents and young adults who are struggling with anxiety, trauma related symptoms, body image and relationship difficulties. She may also integrate faith into sessions, per the client’s request. One of Holly’s favorite bible verses that guides her counseling work with clients is “You have not been given a spirit of fear but of power, love and sound mind.”
