Ashley is originally from North Carolina but has lived in Virginia for the past four years. She received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling being trained in crisis and trauma care, psychopathology, and working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She has previous experience working with clients facing depression, anxiety, bereavement, sexual trauma, physical abuse, health concerns, adjustment to life circumstances, low self-esteem, Autism, ODD, and ADHD. She has previous training in psychological testing, EMDR through THRIVE, SYMBIS training, and experience utilizing play and art interventions in treatment. Her goal is to provide a comforting and supportive environment for clients to come, be, reflect, and heal.
In her spare time, Ashley enjoys exercising, hiking, paddle boarding, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors. As a resident working toward licensure, Ashley plans to increase her knowledge in play therapy and EMDR while at Living Water Counseling Center.
