Since 2012, Elizabeth has had an interest in accompanying others through the challenging times in their lives. Her counseling journey began when she spent summers working with troubled and at-risk youth in need of additional support and direction. Liz then began counseling students in a university setting during the final year of her graduate degree and worked as a graduate student assistant for Premarital Counseling and Marriage and Family Counseling courses at a local university.
Liz is passionate about working with those who have experienced trauma and those who have discord within their families. She is also driven to assist others who are wrestling with anxiety and depression. Her favorite part about the counseling process is when a client finally comes to a place of safety and is able to wholly believe they are a new creation. Liz believes that when someone joins us in our time of trouble, the road to resolution is hopeful. “We are born in relationship, we are wounded in relationship, and we can be healed in relationship.” – Harville Hendrix
Liz is married to her husband, Kevin, and she has a daughter who she loves watching grow. In the future, she hopes to foster/adopt children. Liz finds rest by spending time outside in nature (especially at the beach or when hiking, camping, or gardening), reading books, playing music, and drinking tea/coffee. She also enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new cities, and engaging in local ministries.
