Biography:
Kathleen is a second-career counselor who previously served in the nonprofit world in a variety of roles. Earning her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Lynchburg, she has experience supporting individuals across the lifespan through anxiety, depression, grief and loss, various traumas, life transitions, substance use disorders and the impacts of SUDs.
Kathleen’s approach centers on honoring where each client is and walking alongside them as they move toward meaningful growth. She offers steady support and gentle challenges, creating space for both safety and transformation. She also enjoys incorporating creative approaches to help clients of all ages explore, process, and better understand themselves.
Outside the office, Kathleen loves exploring new cultures (especially through their food), reading a good book, admiring the Blue Ridge Mountains, spending time with family and friends, and being around animals — all of which help her stay grounded and refreshed.
